To all our Globe valued staff team and guests  




We are, like everyone, excited to move ever closer towards normality in regard to the COVID-19 pandemic which has rocked all our worlds, especially within hospitality and restaurants like our small business. After September 13th, Globe will require all staff and guests who choose to work or dine with us to show proof of a minimum single dose of the COVID-19 vaccination. After October 24th the requirement will be for proof of 2 doses. Our facilities include our Café, Bar and Patio. We did not ask for this extra responsibility and we fully support freedom of choice, however we would prefer to comply and stay open to serve you, than to fight against it and risk closure to protect our staff, guests and community.


We are currently working on a plan for regular guests and local residents to simplify the process in order to avoid having to be checked each time you visit. As we learn further information, we will continue to adapt our system and policies and update you. 


We recognize that this will be a difficult thing to control and monitor, and fully understand there will be many differences of opinion as to whether this new protocol is valid and will be effective in its intention. We ask for your understanding and patience if you experience a small wait to be seated on occasion. This is a new process for all of us, and we will do our very best to make your welcome and dining experience as relaxed and pleasurable as always. We would also ask that you respect that some of our staff are still teenagers and they may be the hosts welcoming you and responsible for the verification process. We ask that our team is not subjected to anyone’s views on vaccination, anti-vax opinions or opinions on the vaccination passport itself. Any comments, concerns or frustrations should be directed to our management or ownership team only. We sincerely appreciate your continued support and consideration as we follow Provincial Health Orders to move forward together and enjoy a fabulous Winter season ahead.

How Globe is keeping you AND our team safe... Please Read! We continue to follow all guidelines which may include any or all of those listed below.

We will be taking the name & contact info from one person in your group. Please make sure it's one we can easily reach you at if we need to.

Please be social, but keep your distance. Follow all our social distancing signage and markers.

All our staff will wear masks if they cannot safely distance 6ft from you. Please bear with them and listen carefully as they may be harder to hear than usual. Rest assured, they'll always be smiling with their eyes.

All tables are limited to a maximum of 6 guests. Please stay at your table with your social group. Children must remain seated at your table.

Please do not move any tables. No Exceptions. It took us a long time to measure everything out!

Two guests only at a time in the washrooms (unless accompanying children). If there are two already in there, please wait your turn.

Please wash your hands and use our sanitizer stations at every opportunity.

We have implemented a "clean team" on shift at all times with a regular cleaning regime, both in the kitchen and in the guest areas. Tables are sanitized between each guest. High contact touch points & washrooms are sanitized frequently and diligently throughout the day.

Our team's health is monitored daily and no one is allowed in the restaurant with any symptoms of illness, no matter how minor.

Our menus are available digitally via QR Code (but we will always have a few re-usable, sanitizable copies for those of you ditching your phones while on vacation!).

Contactless payment options are available at all times and encouraged.

Please no high-fives, handshakes or hugs with strangers while you're in our venue, but thumbs ups, gun fingers and that elbow thing are highly encouraged.
